I tell ya I usually have good experiences with the MM OC but this past Saturday, I must have forgotten how to use it. I got tore up. I find the clog proof a good razor but milder than the OC MM. I am not a fan of the MM bullet though. That one just does not work with my mug(face). What is different about the bullet tip that makes it not good for you Kevin? Fuzzy I'm not sure. I will have to revisit and see.

Today i was killed one 40s Super Speed (was fused in hydrochloric acid). It was good razor ... RIP ! Duh!!!! What was it doing in hydrochloric acid in the first place. Seems kinda bad way to try and clean a razor.

The clog proof is the first GEM I have ever used and I love it, great shaves every time. When I first got it I didn't know how to use it and messed up my face, since I put it in the cabinet and it sat there for months. This past week I figured out how to hold the razor and the angle of which to use it and now it's the best safety razor I own and I own a LOT of Gilettes (SS, NEWS, Fat boys, Slims, Good wills, bostonians, etc etc). I love this little thing. Since then I have ordered a 1912 in the case from a member on B&B and I can't wait to use it!

Thanks, everyone, I randomly stumbled on this site after visiting B&B and SRP on a regular basis. For the past few weeks I have been very interested in the SE world, since I have been getting wonderful shaves with the Micromatic. Can't wait to see the site through the future.

Nice to have ya around. Don't be afraid to jump in any of the discussions. And by the way, when are you going to try a "real" SE razor like a '12 GEM, GEM Jr. or ER. Hey, maybe even find a great lather catcher style. If you like the shaves you get from the Micromatic (aka, Junkomatic ) you will certainly love the shaves you get from one of the older SE razors.

Very soon! I ordered a G bar and a 1912 in the case from a few members on B&B about three days ago. I can't wait for them to arrive in the mail! I really like the look of the lather catchers too. So they're also on my list.

Hello, I found a micromatic open comb version at a local antique store. It is in very good condition and I really want to like it,but I can't get it to remove much, if anything. I have tried different angles of the razor and nothing.I am hoping someone can share advice or technique tips. I also picked up an Everready 1912 model and oh my what an excellent and enjoyable shave it gives. Thanks for any suggestions Bruce
