So lets start this out right.. what is your favorite Gem? The old guys like the lather catchers or the newer stuff, such as the G-bar. ( if Dave is going to allow talk about "those") ;D. I use my 1912 open comb (Deluxe?) more then anything. I have a 1910 that Dave gave me that I love also. On top of all that I have a 1900 (I think it is) set on the way from the Bay that looks great in the pictures.

For me, my 1912 military set. Well, at least for now, I haven't had the time to give my new L/C a break in run yet.

Dave are all the OC 1912 considered Deluxe models?
Bill you will love the LC I think... Is the military model the G3 like I have? Well I have 3 of them.

Yes sir Fuzzy, that's the one. I use one of those for my travel razor. I have three of them with the thin plastic handle and one that has a black metal handle. The case makes them the best travel setup.

Dave are all the OC 1912 considered Deluxe models? you got it. theres a few different versions though with minor changes to most of them. there IS a set from the 1920s though called the DELUXE, not to be confused with the set shown above.

AT the moment, I would have to say the 1912 OC Deluxe. However, the 1901 lather catcher is running a VERY close second. I will have to do a back to back challenge to see who is really top.

I thought it was only the open comb ones that were considered DeLuxe. Good to know.
My favorite is my 1901 lather catcher, followed by 1912 ornate.

So far, my favorite is any 1912 (yes, I'm still wet behind the ears). I prefer heavier handles to lighter (like the black bakelight on my GEM Junior).
Now I've got something concrete for which to hunt. A 1912 Deluxe. Thanks for the enabling, Dave!

hmm...
I think my favorite is my o.c. micromatic. That's a GEM, right?
Close second is my featherweight.
And for the record, I think the site needs a micromatic section, since they're unique in the SE world. Nothing else shaves like a micromatic, for better and for worse.

I'm a fan of the big ol' baton handle Gem. As many of you guys know from my posts at another place, the OC Micro-Matic is nowhere near my favorite Gem. ;D How some of you guys can get it to shave well, I have no idea. I keep thinking mine must be broken or bent or something.
