Yup... that was me. So you're the one that cost me an extra two and a half bucks. Keep trying, and better luck next time!

Yeah, I thought that would end up a TOS-ers bidding war. I stayed out of that one. Keep an eye out for that 1910 GEM LC, they are very nice to have!

Congrats Tom ;D Good to hear it went to someone worthy I feel better now, let us know how it shaves will you Thanks, that's very kind of you! It finally came in the mail today. The packaging was really frightening. It arrived in a flimsy little box that was squooshed. The razor, fortunately, survived the squooshing inside a little layer of bubble wrap. I'm not quite sure how it did that, but Im' grateful. Got a Pella loaded up and will give it a run in the morning!

Didn't make it by noon... sorry Fuzzy!
Okay, this is an odd place to post a review, but here goes...
One of the things I like the most about SEs is that they sound almost like a straight. There's a nice zing sound with each stroke. The lather catcher amplifies that sound a bit - it's really cool! The best part though is the shave.
Wow, what a surprise! I love SE razors for a variety of reasons and I knew there was some difference between models (a micromatic doesn't shave like a 1912). Still, I didn't expect it to be a lot different than a 1912 Gem. It's actually much nicer. It's a light razor but it still feels great (I usually like them on the heavy side). Had a nice close shave with no blood. I'm a happy man.
