- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream and Hot Towel
- Brush: The Ever Roddy 300
- Cream: SCS Smoke and Beads
- Razor: 1950 Eversharp-Shick G1 Injector
- Blade: CVS Schick Injector (shave 1)
- A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner and Clubman Club Complete ASB
- EDT: SCS Smoke and Beads EDT
- Result: Great shave. Not BBS but a DFS of three passes. Injector is a great shaver and may become my travel razor of choice. The wife loves the scent of the Smoke and Beads and so do I. Looking forward to tomorrow's shave, with a 1912 GEM Jr.

Tuesday 2/2/10
Gem Featherweight w/ Gem/Personna Edwin Jagger Best Badger Brush Connaught Indian Sandalwood sc Dickinson's WH Three Crowns Indian Sandalwood a/s milk C&E Sandalwood Edt
A Sandalwood morning with wonderful lather produced by the Connaught cream and the C&E brush. I am becoming a fan of the SE, as the Featherweight has given me another BBS shave. It does take a cautious approach but I like the result...it will be interesting to use a Pella blade to see if I can discern any difference. A great start for the day.

Tuesday Night:
GEM Featherweight razor GEM/Personna Stainless blade
Semogue 750 brush (best badger, short acrylic handle) Art of Shaving, Unscented, shaving soap
Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel (Astringent: 10% alcohol, no -parabens, no burn)
I have my doubts about this blade being coated, as it doesn't dry like a coated blade.
I leave a tiny bit of lather residue on my skin. Then I apply Thayer's Witch Hazel, which blends with the previously invisible lather residue to form a nice balm, and I massage it into the skin. It soothes and it moisturizes.

2/3/10
Gem 1912 Damaskene w/ Pella(1) Semogue 1305 Arko shave stick Dickinson's WH 444 a/s balm GFT Spanish Leather Edt
First shave with the new Gem 1912 and Pella blade and a DFS result. I'll have to use it a few more times to see how it develops. I palm stropped the blade prior to use and had to figure the right angle to use. It's certainly a little more work to use a single edge razor as compared with the DE's that I have been using but it's all fun and interesting. The Spanish Leather is a fine finish.

Thursday Night:
GEM Featherweight razor GEM/Personna Stainless blade
Semogue 740 brush (pure badger, short acrylic handle) Cella Crema Sapone da Barba
Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel (Astringent: 10% alcohol, no -parabens, no burn)
At this point, I really don't like the GEM stainless blades. Though they are "smoother," they are enough duller than their carbon steel counterparts (Treet and GEM Blue Star) that I have to apply a bit more pressure to achieve the same cut, and this results in added irritation.
