Well, not year, but at least a time period: (from left to right) An ever ready, no bar, very ornate head and barberpole handle- name of the model? A gem junior- year? A gem junior bar? year? (no box) Thanks!

The GEM Jr with the wooden handle looks like my 1907 model. I got that date from Dave. He will be around soon and can tell you what the others are.
By the way, looks like you have found some really nice razors in Croatia. Very nice indeed.

OMG, I just discovered, after owning it for 1 year, that my ER has a stropping attachment in the handle! It had a hole in the bottom that looked like it was threaded. I tried twisting it off and nothing. Just now, I just pulled on the bottom and out it came. You can imagine my astonishment! ;D ;D

That must have been an exciting moment Napoleon!! I wonder how many 'undiscovered' stropping attachments there might be out there!!

And the plating on the "bevel" (of the attachment) is stripped off. Somebody probably used it, and for a long time! And another interesting thing. The attachment is too wide to fit a SE blade. Maybe they used the razor with wedge blades? And the worn bevel is from honing? If not from honing, than from A LOT of stropping! I bought this ad. The box and handle and the head from this angle look the same as the one from the above post. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220508339626

By the way, don't want to be nosey but what is your first name? Just curious. I would like to address you by that name rather than a screen name. Just a bit more personal and friendly I guess. Have a great day!

I missed the Ivan in the sig line also.
I probably would have left it all ugly instead of a replate..but I am that way.. how loose is the blade when you put it in the stropping attachment?

Totally loose. I could fit like 3 blades in.

Ivan in the signature. I need my glasses changed, or I need to pay more attention to the sigs, or at least realize where they are on TOS.
Now that I have made a complete fool of my self for asking such a stupid question I have to suggest that you very carefully use a pair of pliers with the proper padding and squeeze the stropping attachment back to its proper position. If that does not work, well, I guess you can strop 3 blades at once.
From the look of the handle I would have had it replated too.
;D
