So I mentioned in another thread that I am A wheel gun fan. I currently keep a S&W Model 13 with me most the time. 4 inch barrel Pachmayr grips .357 Mag. Love the thing. I got it as part of the trade for a car actually. I am also a big can of Ruger. In shotguns I am a pump gun guy. Love the Remington 870. I have a wing master that was made the same year I was 1969. My home defense weapon in a Mossburg though.
So what do you guys like.
I suspect there will be some Glock guys here. Never could get into those.
Love a good 1911 style .45 but got away from the Automatic's.
Let's see what shakes loose on this one.

My favorite "iron" is my 5 iron. I can do all kinds of unbelievable shots with it. From the fairway used normally, from under trees, against rocks, even use the back of it left handed. Hit it high, punch it low. Unfortunately I can only do those things with my 5 iron.

It's not my favorite shooting iron, but it's what I carry, Keltec P11. At the range it's my S&W 625 45acp revolver. Now there is a contradiction in terms. ;D

I only have one pistol, a Baretta U22 Neos, little plinker. I am more of a rifle guy. I have a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine that uses standard 9mm Luger ammo. That is probably the gun that sees the most range time. My favorite one to get out though is the AK. That thing attracts some attention. I just wish I could find some more cheap surplus rounds for it. Anyone ever fire a Taurus 24/7 or 809B? I had one on order once and never heard back from the dealer. I have considered picking one up again, but it would mean selling a razor.

I do not remember what the model numbers were. There is nothing wrong with a Taurus in my book. Well built Handguns. Fuzzy

First issued handgun was an S&W model 66 .357 Magnum that I got as a rookie in 1979. Still have it. We went through the Beretta 9 MM to the Beretta .40. Transitioned to the Glock .40 but had a lot of problems so Glock replaced them all with 9 MM's. I never was a fan of the .40, just seems like an answer to a problem that doesn't exist. I carry the small Glock 9 MM since I'm a detective and I love it. The Glock's are my favorite handgun ever. We are issued Winchester model 870's but I drive an undercover Jeep Grand Cherokee and don't have any place to carry it so it stays home. Great weapons.

Yea there are a lot of Glock guys. I know they are good weapons. Just never was a fan of them for some reason. The 870 is in opinion one of if not the best shotgun ever made. It was my first gun. My dad bought it from a neighbor. I had Remington run the serial number and if is a 1969 model... just like me.

I have an 870 express, along with a safe full of guns I inherited from my Dad, but the 870 is the only one I fire anymore.

I'd have to agree that the 870 is a great shotgun. I love the1911 auto, but if I'm just out plinking I enjoy it more with a wheelgun.

Last Wednesday I got a hold of a M1 Garand that my Dad had. Took it out to the desert today and shot it. It's in great shape and shoots well. I'm going to have to learn how to adjust the rear sights though. I also did a little clay pidgeon popping with the 870 and a 28 gauge over and under. Great fun!
See ya,
Alan
