Yeah, I was able to find that one too - but it doesn't seem to have the 'haney' blades at all. I am kinda puzzled as there seems to be no other sites by Feather. Dunno

Yeah, I was able to find that one too - but it doesn't seem to have the 'haney' blades at all. I am kinda puzzled as there seems to be no other sites by Feather. Dunno After going to the site: Click "TOP" at the top of the page. Click "Japanese". Click "Feather Shop.com" at the bottom of the page. Click the door where it says: "Open the Door!". Click on the very last Japanese writing under the third picture from the left. The blade will be the last one shown. I have not been able to find an English translation for this site. I hope this makes sense and helps.

Hey. I recently came by some new carbon Feather SE blades with the "HANE" cutouts that match the late 1920s model Auto Strop pins (see pic). The blade fits great in the razor, but the shave is much less smooth than I can get with my GEM 1912 with Walgreens blades. The blade itself seems super sharp when not in the razor and used to shave the back of my hand. Anyone have any experience here? Yours in shaving, Chuck Attachments:

I guess the old link worked after all. I must have clicked on the wrong button. Here is a translation provided by Google for the page in question.
Item #: 4991512
High 05 single-edged stainless steel (24 pieces into Koh 5) ¥ 6.804 (tax ¥ 6.480) No.: FHS-5 One Size: Length 39.3mm × 18.4mm × full width Blade thickness 0.23mm Display Quality Cutting edge: stainless steel cutlery W platinum alloy and resin coating ※ The sales Oobako (24) units. ¥ 6,804
Now, if you do the math and convert the currency... that is 24 little boxes of 5... 6804 Yen is $86 for 120 blades! Ouch - no wonder nobody carries those blades!
It looks like they have a bulk packed box FHS-100 that is 4200 yen ($53).
I asked an online vendor that is now carrying Feather products (stainless razor, straights, etc...) if there was any chance he can get the FHS-5 packs or bulk purchase FHS-100. We will have to wait and see on that. But he will inquire for us.

Modified blades will work... unless you want to use one of the models that require the cutouts. I am not saying that I want a pack of 100. But I certainly would be willing to split a box of 100 with someone. However, if David can't get them then it is moot point.

I have both models... but of course seem to like the one with the cutouts the best. go figure. Fuzzy

www.razorbladesandmore.com/ should start having the blades in Mid-December. It looks like the cost will be $4 for a 5 pack. A week ago he said he would have to place a minimum order of 600 packs! I didn't see that message at the time. Now it looks like he has an order in process. I don't know if he actually got enough direct interest expressed to get the minimum of 600 packs, if he is taking a leap of faith that they will sell, or if he was able to work out a smaller minimum order deal.

Sorry. not been online much; however, I thought I would give everyone a heads up. The feather SE blades are now available on the Razors blades and more site. www.razorbladesandmore.com/content/feather-single-edge-blades-5pcsThe price is a bit high, but we knew that would be the case. If I recall correctly, David has free shipping on orders over $75 plus there is are some 5% discount codes that he uses.
