Why do I see slots for seperate blades in old cases (begining of the century), not for wedge blades (which is logical) but for disposable ones Did they use a different blade each day a week? Is that the thing of not using a blade 2 days in a row cause the edge recovers...

Here is my guess... The earlier SE blades needed to be stropped. So if you only wanted to do that once a week. With the seven blades in the box made it easy to keep up. That is just a guess mind you. Plus let's face it..... it looks cool. Fuzzy

Is that the thing of not using a blade 2 days in a row cause the edge recovers... you got it. like the wedge blade sets, early SE sets were also 7 day sets, sometimes fewer, sometimes greater.
