Gem FW Gem SS/PFTE Blade (3) Made-Rite 500 PB Brush C.O. Bigelow Cream Barbasol Pacific Rush
I was pressed for time again this morning so I did another one-pass shave with touch-up. It turned out unexpectedly well - easily DFS. ______________ Jeff

Monday, August 15, 2011No Shave Tuesday, August 16, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: Real Shaving Co. Sensitive
- Brush: Frank Shaving Fine Badger
- Razor: Gem OCMM
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (4), 2 passes
- Post: WH + alum splash, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
- Cold water shave
Oh how I have missed the efficiency of the OCMM. I was unable to shave yesterday and this razor just mowed down all the stubble that dared get in it's way. Only 2 passes needed with slight touch-up under the jaw for my closest to BBS ever. I can't stop running the back of my hand all over my face this morning.

Gem MM Clog Pruf Gem SS/PFTE Blade (5) Made-Rite 500 PB Brush Rise Shave Gel Pinaud Clubman VI Bay Rum
I bought some Rise Shave Gel at Dollar Tree last night. Very weird stuff but it seems to work well for me. I've never used any cream or soap that's as slick as the Rise. I can't see myself putting it in my daily rotation but it'll definitely see more use, especially when I need a quick, clean shave. ______________ Jeff

I can definitely tell that my SE technique has improved. I got a much better shave with the 1912 than I have in the past. It still isn't my favorite shave. I think the handles are a bit too short for my liking, which could explain my love for the micromatics. Though the featherweight with it's short handle still gives me a better shave than the 1912.

Thursday August 18, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: Real Shaving Co. Sensitive
- Brush: Semogue 1250 (Thanks John!)
- Razor: Gem OCMM
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (6), 2 passes
- Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
- Cold water shave
Another great performance from the OCMM despite a poor lather. It was my first time using the Semogue 1250 (Thanks John!) & I definitely do not know the complete workings of this brush yet. I may have to bowl lather some more before I can get a good face lather from this little piggy.

I got another slick, quick, and comfortable shave with the Rise gel. That stuff seems to team up very well with the FW for my "speed shaving" combo. ______________ Jeff

Musgo Real Glyce Lime Gem OCMM Treet Carbon blade Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush GFT Shave Cream TOBS Victorian Lime AS
Normally I use Williams and AV on Sunday. It was an early evening shave, and today it was hot, so I thought I might deviant a little to something cooler. It says something for the Trumpers that a small boar brush can whip up a good lather. The GFT cream is light and refreshing. The Lime pre-wash and AS was invigorating.
