I was over at the Dollar Tree the other day and there was this cream in a plastic tube. Brushless as can be and I hate Brushless creams. BUTTTTTTTTT there is no law against using a brush with it. SO at the risk of a dollar I brought it home. Two shaves into it and it is an ok cream.
The first shave was face lathered with boar brush. I soaked the brush as usual and then added the gel directly to it. Then on to the face to later. It was not that bad. This stuff actually did ok. It has what seems to me is a Noxzemaish scent. I am not saying it is as good a cream... it is not. But for a dollar it is a solid shave Gel.
Second shave was a bowl lather with my vintage knot Badger. This was even better. Again the scent is there. Which is good. I got a very solid DFS and as it has Aloe Vera in it my face feels good after.
SO it is like williams dollar a shot, whatcha got to lose? Give it a go you might just like it.

I've also seen that cream at the local Dollar Tree and was intrigued but ended up passing on it. Based on your findings I think I'll give it a try. It's not like I'm going to be out a lot if it doesn't work for me. __________ Jeff

I checked the Dollar Tree closest to me and they didn't have it. Come to think of it, I don't remember ever seeing it at that location. There are plenty of others that I've shopped. I'll stop by one of those in a couple of days. __________ Jeff

Well, I found some of the Rise Shave Gel and after using it this morning, I'll have to say I liked it. I agree that it's not as good as a cream and it won't be going in my regular rotation but it's a pretty good performer. I've never experienced any cream as slick as this one. I wish there was a little more lather with it but it does a good job lubricating the face. The scent isn't bad either. Definitely worth a buck! __________ Jeff

I will use it today as a refresher. Glad you thought it was ok, Fuzzy

Back in the late 90s there were still some soaps around locally but I was having trouble finding shave cream in a tube. I would buy shave gel and use a brush to whip it up. It was a very slick shave and worked for me until I found the internet and on-line sales.

They also have a sensitive formula. But it has baby oil in it. I will not be trying it with a brush. I think it would not wash out.

My closest Dollar tree sells both a Rise Shave Gel and a Cream. I like the Cream a bit more. It has olive oil in it. I often use it for final touch up, but I've started adding it to Williams soap to "slicken" the Williams up a bit... So far so good.

I will be hunting the cream. Once I go back to shaving again. Fuzzy
