Razor: Beat up Gem Micromatic Blade: Pella-day 1 Cream: Ultra Shave A/S: Dickerson's WH, TSD Subzero Been experimenting with the ultra shave product to see if it lives up to the hype. I'm currently writing a review but am surprisingly pleased with the stuff ;D www.shaveblog.com/2005/09/ultra-shave.html

Glad you liked the Frasers Fuzzy!
I loaded up an OC Micromatic for tomorrow's shave, hopefully I can go through with it. My last Micromatic experience was not so positive. I didn't get weepers, but I felt like I had sun burn for a day or two.

Friday
- SoapWilliams
- Brush:Generic Boar
- Razor:1912 baton handled GEM (thanks Fuzzy!)
- Blade:Pella (Shave #4)
- A/S: Coyote's WH Blend followed by Aqua Velva: Ice Blue
First shave with the baton handle. It felt very good, light, and nimble in my hand. I loved the feel of the razor with that handle. Now I need to try it on a fresh blade and not one that is pushing the end of its days... (However, I am now getting 4 days out of the Pella blades with hand stropping before each shave. Today I stopped and stropped again before ATG just to make it through the shave)

Rodd,
How do you like the TSD Bourbon Vanilla Cologne? I just got some cream and cologne in that flavor. I really like and so does the wife. Reminds me of the barber shop smell as a kid.

Rodd, How do you like the TSD Bourbon Vanilla Cologne? I just got some cream and cologne in that flavor. I really like and so does the wife. Reminds me of the barber shop smell as a kid. Love the stuff. That and SCS Sandalwood are about all I wear anymore. I am fan of vanilla, and the bourbon isn't liquor scented, it is kind of woody and sweet. Stays with me for quite a while too. JoAnna makes sample sizes of cologne dirt cheap, and it is still something like 100 sprays, I recommend picking one up to try. Dave, glad the blade worked out! How hard are those Zins to find?

Thanks for the info and confirmation about the TSD stuff. I have used many of JoAnna's cream samples to determine if I like a particular scent. Have about 5 creams and as many colognes. Really good stuff in my humble opinion.

- Gem 1912 w/ ornate travel handle

Great DFS today - I had forgotten to set up a new razor/blade combo last night and still had the 1912 in my holder, so I'm using that for a 2nd go-round.

Sunday 10/25 - Semogue 1305
- Lea Shave Stick
- Gem 1912 w/ ornate travel handle
- Ted Pella Gem
- Thayer's AF Original
- La Toja Locion
- Creed Cuir de Russie EdT
Great DFS today. Tried something new - instead of doing my normal WTG, XTG, ATG....I went N-S (which is ½ way between WTG & XTG for me), then W-E/E-W (ear to chin). Very close to a BBS with only the 2 passes, however it seemed a little more difficult. This is a technique I'm going to work on and try to refine some...

- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Ever "Roddy" 300
- Cream: TSD Vanilla Bourbon
- Razor: '10 GEM Jr Lather Catcher Style
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE Coated SE (shave 6)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Clubman Club Complete A/S
- EDT: TSD Bourbon Vanilla EDT
- Result: A wonderful BBS shave with the GEM Jr. Lather Catcher. Just love that type of razor. Even a blade that is on its last legs works well with this great razor. First time for the TSD Bourbon Vanilla stuff. Usual great results from the TSD cream and with a very pleasant scent.
