Hello! I'm new to this forum, so I wanted to say hello. And I'm not sure where to put this kind of message, so please forgive me if it's in the wrong place or appears more than once. I have been a collector, historian and dealer in antique and vintage razors and related items for many years. These include straight razors, safety razors, strops, hones and all manner of odd devices that have been used to remove hair or to maintain the things that do. I am always looking for new (old actually) items to buy or trade for. My first love are straight razors, but I do make it a point to purchase safety razors (some of them quite rare and/or elegant) as well. My collection includes: The Schick Injector Model "A" GEM razor Star Razors Two boxed Wilkinson Sword 7 Day Sets Stropping devices with original box and papers Early hones Early SE blades Original store stand-up blade displays Original, fully-nickeled tins In all, my collection amounts to over 1,000 razors (mostly straights). If any of you have any straight razors you would like to sell or trade for safeties or anything else in my inventory, please send me a message. This looks like a really great board (although quite hard to find.) Best Regards, John H Tischler The Vintage Shaving Shoppe, LLC. www.vintageshavingshoppe.com

Sounds like an impressive collection. Welcome to the boards. Feel free to post pics and stories about your rare, odd and elegant items!!! It is always fascinating to learn more about these wonderful devices and your contributions will be very appreciated! My personal collection of str8s is rather small. I haven't anything particularly special either I am afraid. I missed a Boker King Kutter that was absolutely untouched with a perfect case just the other week, and I still am pouting about that. (I was 'mulling it over' whether or not to spend the dough - big mistake, gone 5 minutes later. ) WELCOME!!!
