So I finally picked up some Alt-Innsbruck a little while ago. I'm not sure what I think just yet. The scent reminds me of a grape scented eraser I had way back in grade school. (All the cool kids had 'em. ) The menthol is borderline painful. Maybe it was because the first time I used it was on a day where the high temp was 15 degrees. I used it again the other day in 40 degree weather. I'm giving it a break until hot (upper 90's/100's) weather arrives. What are your thoughts on this unique aftershave?

Have not used it myself. I will be interested in how it works for you.

I have not seen this up in Canada. Therefore, haven't tried it.
Your description of the grape eraser though does not have me pining for any.

Ya, the scent kind of makes me wish I had saved the money for something else. I guess it "heals" as well as any aftershave I have tried. The huge menthol dose might be nice in hot weather, while cruising on the motorcycle. I just can't tell. I had to order mine on line, like the great majority of my shaving supplies. As far as B&M stores go, I'm limited to Williams (happy to have it available) and VDH soaps, and a small selection of blades.

The menthol kills it for me. Not crazy about menthol. Do use it in my shave prep with the Noxzema Skin Cleansing Cream and that is enough of it for me.

I believe the scent is pure tobacco flower. Many folks really love it. I think it's a bit of an acquired taste that I have not yet acquired.
