I just noticed that the threaded stud on the end of the handle which screws into the head is larger on my GEM JR than it is on my GEM 1912. Are they all like that?

I think I have heard that before. The handles dont interchange. I will check to see how mine are.

I'm wondering if the 1912 I have could me a travel model. It looks just like one I saw on the net. The handle is a little shorter than the handle on my Jr. Maybe the travel models have the smaller studs. Either way, it still performs great!

The handles from my regular GEM & GEM Jr razors seem to fit just fine. I have a '12 ER and even its handle is interchangeable with my GEM & GEM Jr. Maybe you just have a bad thread on the handle or the head of one of your razors.
