Right now, all my SEs are Gems. What is the basic difference between Ever Ready and the Gems I have? I realize everyone has their own opinions but are their any basic differences (blade angle, reliability, agressiveness, etc.).
Thanks for any info you might have,
Alan

Alan most of the difference I have found is the name. Like having a GMC or Chevrolet Pickup truck. All about the same. I have a GEM 1912 and a Ever Ready 1912 that both have the ornate heavy handle. They are identical to me except the name on them.f

Thanks Fuzzy, I was kind of curious because they looked so much alike.

I agree with Fuzzy, the only difference is in the name. I have Gem,ER and Star 1912's and they look the same. I have read the the Ever Ready's that were made in England have a better finish, but I've never seen one in person so I really don't know.

Of course you MUST buy a few of each. That is how it works.

I tried that once..........it didn't work out so good. So now we both just get whatever we want, when we run out of room we remodel the bathroom and add more cabinet space.

Yeah, I know, but I just moved from a big one to a smaller one. Much cheaper to remodel bathroom or add on a Shave Den for myself; hmmm..... that's not a bad idea. I better stop myself here before I start ripping out walls.
