1950 shick ASR blade D-1 Gulliver shave stick Gulliver boar brush Wh Brut.
Good shave with this blade. It is a rebranded ASR that Alan sent. Seems to be very good for the price.

Razor: Rolls Razor 2 Soap: Prairie-Creations Mayan Musk T&L Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Squeeze knot. 30sec load while grasping knot. 1min46. 2 pass. Thin. Sans cushion. No change from before. Average shave at best. There's no problem with lather dispersing it's just thin. Will have to play with this some more.

Razor: Rolls Razor Cream: Olivia Seife Marrakesh Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Squeeze 2x. Half-size almond. 2min. Re-work within 30sec. 5 pass. Moist, creamy thick. Smooth. Kinda pasty 1st pass. But since I knew it was going to dry out due to room temperature it wasn't big deal as I planned on reworking lather anyway. Very luxurious rich, creamy and thick. Love the woodsy fresh, herbal scent to it. Really enjoy every time spent with this brush. Though I'm not crazy about its naturally tapered dome profile, it's forgiveable considering the performace outweigh the aesthetic features-it's not stupid stiff, it's no lather hog, it's dense and spring rate is very good. Tips tufts have light scrub to it but in no way comparable to Boar.

WWI 1912 Gem PAL D-1 Gulliver boar Williams Wh Brut
Another on the road shave. Loved it as usual. My brother has really soft water so lathering is easy as anything.

Razor: Rolls Razor 2 Cream: Ginger's Garden Bayrum Lime Brush: Omega 21047 AS: AII Osage Rub Shake 3x. 51sec. 2-3 min lather pasty. Rework 1-2. 4 pass. Creamy. Shed 1. Total 20. What a way to finish last few days with the brush that started it all the almighty Boar 21047. How I missed the scrubby feel. Splayed just right has good spring rate. 2 extra passes which is nice but not needed. Cream was bit hard but lathered under minute. Not bad. Had re-dip in hot water during lather formation. Osage's invigorating as always. A good bite but not overwhelming. I don't know if there's any product out there that leaves your face nicely refreshed and minty for a good 10 minute.

Razor: Rolls Razor Cream: Lord Emo Menthol Brush: Omega 21047 AS: AII Osage Rub Shake 3x. Half almond-size. 24sec. 1min. Dry within 2 min. 2 pass. Cool throughout shave. I have yet to determine which is better between this and C.O.Bigelow. The latter's cooling effects is quicker last I remember almost instantaneous. Nevertheless the minty freshness of Emo shouldn't be overlooked. It's nice cream. The almighty Omega yet again lathers faster than any I've come across despite being more wet than usual. Under 30 seconds lather exploded from this monster. Excellent exfoliator. No shed today.

Razor: Rolls Razor 2 Cream: OLD Progress Vulfix Sandalwood Brush: Omega 21047 AS: AII Osage Rub Shake 3x. Half almond. 14sec. 1min14. Rework 1. 3 pass. Nothing like starting of brand new year with one of the greatest brushes ever made. Its mighty bristles formed lather within 15seconds. Top it off with nice cool refreshing Osage. 21047 is a great inspiration. It's nice and compact. Dense but not overly so. Never a time I had to start fresh due to bad lathering. If anything it was poor technique but not with this brush or any Omega truth be told. Omega is just that awesome. I remember one of Bruce Lee's flicks-title escapes me but there was cast member interview on DVD and the gentlemen was wearing a red Omega hat. I must acquire this. Sandalwood is nice texture about it. Not hard more like medium texture. In hindsight I wish I'd bought entire remaining batch of this from Gary.

- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: C&E BBB
- Cream: T&H 1805
- Razor: '12 EverReady
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE Coated SE (shave 1)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & SCS Avocado ASM
- EDT: Nine Flags Aromatic Tabac from Brazil
- Result: First shave of the New Year and it was a great one. BBS with just a bit of buffing. No blood. Got to say the T&H cream is the best that I have. Great thick lather providing excellent slickness and cushion. The BBB is probably my favorite. It was the first brush I bought when I returned to vintage shaving so it has a special place in my heart.

Micromatic OC CVS SE Blade, day 1 Palmolive Shave Cream Generic WH English Leather AS English Leather Cologne
I pretty much use the MM OC once a week (Sunday morning). Today I thought I'd try a CVS blade in it. I think I like the Gems a little better, but still a good shave.
