Razor: Rolls Razor 2 Soap: Ogallala Bayrum Sandalwood Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Shake 3x. 42sec. 1min 29. 3 pass. Post-smooth. Omega Lavanda Shake 3x. 30sec load. Airy lather. 2nd One good squeeze. No luck 3rd Squeezed knot to point of being water-free. No luck. 4th attempt: knot squeezed nearly dry. Rub puck on face. No luck. Suitable for bathsoap. My face is slightly irritated. I don't know if it's the scrub of the tufts tips or the reaction from Omega's Lavanda. As much as I'm fan of Omega this soap is more suitable for bar soap. My attempts have been fruitless. The brush produced meringue lather. Had to wash it off and reload each time making sure the knot was free of soap. My final attempt despite the knot being nearly dry still produced a bubbly lather. CLICK 3rd: 4th try:

- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cleansing Cream
- Brush: C&E BBB
- Cream: PC Barbershop
- Razor: '07 GEM Jr Lathercatcher with 2 piece handle
- Blade: PAL Carbon Steel SE (shave 3)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: AV Musk Splash
- Result: Got BBS but it was in doubt and took a very thorough buffing pass to accomplish it. Problem may have been that I had not shaved since Monday morning and I had a good beard growth. First pass seemed to not remove any beard at all. Blade seemed to pull and tug a bit. But as the passes went along it became a nice 3 pass plus heavy buffing shave. Will have to see how tomorrow's shave goes without a 3 day beard growth. Hope the blade performs better. The PC cream made a very nice lather. Not crazy about the scent though, not much like a barbershop. More of a woodsy scent.

Razor: Rolls Razor 2 F40/4 Soap: Olivia Seife WM Sarubia Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Squeeze knot. 30sec load. Grasp knot. 2 pass. Smooth Olivia Seife Churchill Squeeze knot. 30sec load. Airy Squeeze knot. 30sec load. Grasp knot. Meringue Near dry. Grasp knot. No luck Am glad the wedge on this was smooth after good honing session. Despite the 2 pass lather it gave me no problems at all. Very seamless as it glided down with comfort. Once-over wasn't as rough as I'd imagine considering it was water on face but nonetheless satisfying. With regards to the Churchill soap, I don't know if it's the size of puck remaining or hard water or my lathering. Like with Omega Lavanda it was airy and dissipated but not as quick. In truth it sort of remind me of lather one would get from Herban Cowboy. This is frustrating because Olivia's creams, WM soaps aren't an issue for me. The 16728 is as springy as I like and has been consistent since day 1. It has enough density, it splays just right. It's not overly stiff nor a latherhog.

- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Knotty Roddy Chubby 2 Refurb - with TGN Silvertip Badger
- Cream: C&E Nomad
- Razor: '12 GEM
- Blade: PAL Carbon Steel SE (shave 5)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: AV A/S Balm
- EDT: SCD Blend 2-11
- Result: DFS today. This is the last shave for this blade. Indication of that was it took me about 5 passes to get the peach fuzz off the top of my follically challenged head. I enjoyed the 5 shaves I got from the PAL but will not forsake my Pellas for this blade. Will use it again. On a more positive note, the C&E cream did its usual job of great slickness and cushion and the SCS 2-11 just wowed my wife when she got up this morning.

Gem Jr SE Gem Stainless SE blade (day 1) Omega 49 Boar Brush C. O Bigelow Shave Cream AV As
Normally Sunday is the day I use the MMOC, but as I was trying the Bigelow cream for the first time, I decided to go with the Jr. The cream reminded me of Noxzema. I guess that's because it has eucalyptus oil in it. I was actually going to use some English Leather AS, but when I noticed the tingle from the cream I went with AV.

Razor: Rolls Razor Soap: Prairie-Creations Bubble Gum Tallow Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Squeeze knot. 30sec load while grasping knot. 1min. 2 pass. Thin. Sans cushion. Jumping from SE to SR or vice versa one can really note how drastic the major differences are between these tools. One's very light, slim and other you got a scale in between your fingers. The latter of course need more care attention lest you be sliced. Had better shave yesterday no doubt compared to any shave with Rolls. Nevertheless, enjoy the experience. Facial hair growth is much symmetrical with straight shave compared to safety's. This more likely due to the length of the straight's blade versus the safety. You employ more strokes with Rolls while keeping it against the face. In contrast, with the straight you're at 30 degree or less depending on the type of stroke. Despite the major underlying differences it's nice to have both as variety. Kristie's Bubblegum is delightful no question about it. Today however wasn't as good as shave as far as I can remember. The last two I loaded the brushes 1min+ yielding 3 pass. It's airy at first but with more work you'll get there.
