So being a fan of Krissy's shave soaps I just made an order for a few more. When they arrived I was very happy to see a few samples in the bag. One was of a soap and two were shave creams. I could not wait to try out one and as Rose is probably my favorite cream scent I broke out the ole Dirty Bird scuttle and went at it.
I chose the Open Comb Micro Matic with a three day Pella in it so that I could really test the cream on a tough razor. In one word the shave was "GREAT" I had no problems working up a great lather with my Vintage Badger Ever Ready. I used about the same amount of cream I would for the more expensive brands I have.
The cream starts with a harder consistency then other soaps, but that is not at all an issue. Using my normal method of building lather it was quickly a bowl of warm Rose heaven.
The Scent is stronger then the TOBS and very very nice.
Once again I find that Krissy is making a very nice product. I will definably be ordering some of this.
I will take a moment to ring her bell a little. She included two cream samples, one in Rose the other unscented. Both of them are big enough for several shaves. Ms. Krissy also included a sample bar of Sweet grass soap. WOW very nice soap. (but that is a different review ) Very classy thing to do in my opinion. BULLY for her on adding good samples the order.

I took a shot at a couple of Krissy's soaps based on the reviews on DFS site.
Got the Nag Champa and the Rose scents. Both in shave stick form. Love both of them. Scent is great and the lather made using the face lathering technique is wonderful as well. I need to hone my face lathering a bit as I seem to be getting just a bit too much soap on my face and thus the lather somehow seems to a bit thick and it clogs up my injectors big time and the lather catcher SEs a bit. May need to have the brush a bit more wet or not so much soap on my face.
Also took a flyer on some of her bath soap. I like using artisan bath soap. Seems to work better and makes me feel cleaner than the stuff you get at the grocery store. I ordered a four cake pack in a custom flavor. Used three of them and now have an order for 8 cakes that I am waiting for. Also ordered a tub of her tallow shave cream in Barbershop Scent. Hope it has some serious musk flavor.
Just wish that Krissy would expand her line to include some EDTs. I use that kind of stuff regularly and have gotten compliments on it from many folks.
I am very satisfied with the stuff I have purchased from Prairie Creations and plan on buying more as my current supplies run out.

I have the Japanese Cherry Blossom this is so heavenly I find myself smelling it even when not shaving. As far as cream goes it's very effective. Lather develops very quickly, good cushioning leaves your face nice and smooth and of course smelling quite exotic.
Mayan Musk was the only soap I got with Tallow & Lanolin this is quite intoxicating. When you open up your drawer you'll find its aroma hitting your face you just don't want it to end.
Bubblegum let's just say I found myself trying to chew my cheeks off. This scent is reminiscent of BubbleTape. Remember that? Man that was ages go. That was such an awesome gum.
I've yet to try Chocodreams and Cedarwood.
