OK, I know better than that, but I thought I share another interesting antique shop find. Looking around at a mixed up pile of stuff on top of an old table, a glint of tin strikes my eye. Nice, a Colgate Handy Grip tin, not to bad of shape. I think I'll have a look at the price... whoa! This one feels a little heavy, I wonder what's inside? Sweet! About a 2 inch nub of soap left! And the last strip hasn't been removed yet, not time to re-load. But a look at the other side shows a slightly different logo. Williams!? The stick's threads fit exactly right into the lid. Were Williams and Colgate using the same containers, or even, *gasp* the same soap?

I've come across several pucks of vintage Williams and Colgate, and I agree that they are there own soaps. This is the first time I have found anything in a Colgate tin. I can't wait to give it a go! How big are the tins you have? This is the fourth large (about 3.5 inches tall) tin I have found, and they all screw in. I also have two smaller tins (about 2.5 inches tall) that just push in.
