A member at B&B who lives in Ireland and I did an international product swap and I ended up with two Palmolive shave sticks. These are great! I milled one into a bowl so I can use a brush and left the other in stick form.
Used the stick on my head in the shower this morning and it lathered up great. I'll use the stick sometime on my face, something I've never done before.
Greaat scent and lather. This stuff's awesome!

I received a couple of sticks from a trade with a B&B member in Scotland. I surprised him with a puck of Old Spice still in the wrapper... I think he got the raw end of the deal. Palmolive is some GREAT stuff! ;D

Palmolive is some GREAT stuff! ;D He was looking for someone to get him a puck of VDH. I mailed him one and told him I didn't want any money for it, just to consider it a gift. A box shows up yesterday from him with the palmolive and a tube of Boots shaving cream which I'm going to try next. He said the Palmolive sells for about $.65 a stick, shame it's not available here, cause it seems to be great stuff alright.

Love the palmolive shave stick I got awhile back. I also wish it was easy to get here.

I have never tried a stick of any kind really. Someone once sent me a small piece of Arko, but it was too small to try using as a stick, and the scent didn't really agree with me.
This Palmolive sounds intriguing though.

This Palmolive sounds intriguing though. The shave sticks have there place I use them some I milled the palmolive down before I knew better.. but I have an Erasmic that is nice. I do like the scent. If you get the chance try the Palmolive.. you might like it. Fuzzy

Palmolive shave sticks are the bee's knees and I have a number of customers that will attest to this. They are also one of the few tallow sticks still around.

Sorry to come in late on this Another vote for the Palmolive. Great stuff! I'm on my second stick. I use it as a stick, I prefer to face lather anyway. I was getting it from Joe (shaveabuck). Can I say that? But I see it's not shown anymore. I used the neat plastic holder and cover that came with a Lea shave stick (not bad either). The sticks work out for me as I face lather just about all the time. I like the Erasmic too, very nice. Regards Jim

I've used the LEA stick. The scent is not quite as nice as the Erasmic, but it lathers great and the stick seems to last forever. For the price I think it is worth it, but Erasmic would be my first choice. I would not hesitate to buy both again.

In a moment of weakness I picked up a De Vergulde stick It is good, but at twice the price of the Erasmic and no noticeable difference to me at least, except scent. I think the Lea stick is at least as good as Arko, perhaps better. I use them both. What made a big difference for me was using a boar brush with soaps and I found that very helpful bit of info here ;D Jim

I think I'll dig out the LEA and use it Monday. Haven't tried it in about 4 months. I've never tried Arko, will have to get some.
I too mostly face lather. The boars seem to work best for me, especially if I'm using a soap. I've never really had an expensive badger, so maybe they work as well with soap and sticks if it's a good brush and you know how to use it. I guess I'm happy with the results I get from my boars, especially since I would be kind of reluctant to spend $100+ on a brush. To each his own I guess.

I have use a sample of ARKO a few times. It was a nice soap. It is cheap and works really well.. which makes it a friend of mine ;D
I think I will aquire some of the Lea. Have heard some ok things about it.

I've got my first two sticks of Palmolive on my way over to me from the UK. Can't wait to try one out after hearing so many positive comments. I also ordered a couple of tubes of Palmolive cream. I always try to keep some of that on hand since it's a cream which performs very well for me. __________ Jeff
