1912 ornate handle GEM Jr Treet blade (3) VDH soap VDH brush W/H and Old Spice.
The shave started out OK on the third day of the Treet blade but went south about halfway through. These are apparently good for two days only, even though I carefully dried it off and dipped it in alcohol and let it air dry.
On a sad side note I dropped Darth Razor and the 60 year old bakelite handle didn't survive hitting the tile floor. I did keep the head which will replace a worn one on another Junior, but I'm really going to miss the fat handle model.

Sorry to hear about the handle Those carbon blades are frustrating aren't they? One,or possibly two good shaves,if you are lucky. Tuesday 3/30/10
Ever-Ready w/ Pella (2) Semogue 2009 LE #19 SRD Sandalwood ss Dickinsons WH MK for men a/s conditioner SCS Sandalwood Edt
Tried the Ever-Ready again this morning and got three awful passes. I had to take out my '71 Superspeed with the Bolzano Blade to finish up. I think I'll just toss the blade or maybe put it in my Featherweight to see if it's the blade or the razor. (I can't imagine it's the razor, however, as I have already used it to good effect previously). Finished with the SCS Sandalwood Edt, always a good finish.

- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream
- Brush: C&E BBB
- Cream: TSD Bourbon Vanilla
- Razor: '07 GEM Lather Catcher Style with two piece handle
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated SE (shave 1)
- Oil Pass: Leisurguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & AOS Lavender ASB
- EDT: TSD Bourbon Vanilla EDT
- Result: This was a miserable shave to start out. Brand new blade and it was a bad, bad, blade. Actually drew blood with the first two strokes. Felt the edge was bad. So changed to a new blade. Got a DFS simply because I was scared to death of more blood. Goes to show ya that even in a pack of the best blades one can get a dud!

- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Ever Roddy 300 Silvertip Badger
- Cream: Salter's Wild Rose
- Razor: '73 Stick Schick Injector
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated Injector
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & SCS Savory Rose ASM
- EDT: 4711 EDT
- Result: Surprisingly almost a BBS shave without the Oil Pass. Still it can only be called a DFS. Face pretty torn up from the bad Pella SE blade from yesterday so I just went conservative with the closeness today. May have to do this for a few days til things heal up a bit.
