Abyssos, from everything I have read, the Featherweight would be a different experience from your Micromatics. If you are looking for variety of SE experience, I would encourage you to try it.
My SE experience is limited to the Featherweight and the G-Bar. I prefer a gentle razor, and I have read that these are among the gentlest in the world of SE. These still require a light touch and they give a close shave. I really like them.

OK, i will look for some GEM featherweight. Unfortunately, the most sellers on ebay ships only CONUS If they do it, the shipping is too expensive. I`m in Europe, and is most difficult to find good looking featherweight here (almost impossible) . Prefer wit case, as well.

Honestly, I struggle to get good shaves from my Featherweights, but I haven't really given them a fair shot yet. I started on Micromatics and never, well almost never, looked back. Different shave, but worth having.

Abyssos, you might broaden your search to include the G-Bar. It has the head and the shave much like the Featherweight, but it is all-metal. I like the G-Bar even more than the Featherweight. Both are great razors, though.

I think, the G-bar is more expensive from Featherweight.. but i`m not sure for that.

I'm still keeping an eye out for a Featherweight. I assume they shave similar to the G-Bar, I like how they look.

There is no such thing as a bad Gem. ;)The Featherweight is no exception. WRONG! You have forgotten the Micro"junk"omatic. That razor is the pits. I can't speak about the G-Bar so no comment on it. I do have both a Contour and a Featherweight that I used for about 9 months in my rotation and found them to be okay as GEMs go. Have put them away in my not used razor collection. Who knows with this discussion I may just pull them out and do a couple days with each for a change. My problem with them is that they are very slippery for me to handle. Can't figure that one out but it happens.

...My problem with them is that they are very slippery for me to handle. Can't figure that one out but it happens. You could always wrap a small rubber band around the handle a few times for use while shaving. Wouldn't look nice, but I'm sure it would help reduce slippage.

Or better yet look for something I can put around the handle that will look good. But as a minimum the rubber band sounds promising. Thanks for the suggestion.
