I was digging around in the miscellaneous drawer of my tool chest and found an old box of SE blades made by Stanley. I don't remeber how long ago I bought them.Hell, I don't even remeber buying them! They are shiny and show no signs of rust so I'm assuming they are stainless steel. I'm thinking of popping one in and having a go just to see how they are.
What's the worst that can happen? Uh, wait, don't answer that.

My quick trip into hardware blades left me with no damage, it also left me with all the whiskers I started with. They have been too dull to cut anything, which makes sense, I guess. Scraper blades really don't need a prefect edge, the first crash into old paint and the edge would be ruined anyway. I'd say go for it, we are using "safety" razors, right?

So, maybe this isn't the best idea I've had recently.

So, maybe this isn't the best idea I've had recently. LOL will probably not hurt anything really.. but I would think they shaves would be bad to worse. Those are just not made to shave.. I have heard of using the stanley carpet blades in a Durham.., but that is the only one that will fit and if you get any kind of shave it is fun just cause you are using one. again YMMV Fuzzy
