Tuesday, September 6, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: C.O. Bigelow
- Brush: Frank Shaving Finest
- Razor: Gem OCMM
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (1), 2 passes
- Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
Wonderful shave today. With the holiday I had almost a full 3 days worth of growth and the OCMM mowed it down effortlessly. DFS+ without even trying. What an enjoyable shave today. I hope all your shaves today were as good as mine!

Wednesday, September 7, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: C.O. Bigelow
- Brush: Frank Shaving Finest
- Razor: Gem MM Clog Pruf
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (2), 2 passes
- Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
My skilled use of the OCMM led to a cocky shave with the Clog Pruf today. While the CP is definitely milder than the OCMM, it can still bite you. I thought about not shaving today since I was still pretty smooth from yesterday's shave, but decided the CP should be mild enough. Perhaps I should have gone with the Featherweight. Some slight irritation but nothing that the Velva liquid medicine couldn't comfort!

Friday, September 9, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: Arko
- Brush: Semogue 1250
- Razor: Gem OCMM
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (3), 2 passes
- Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
Excellent shave with the Arko. I'm still learning the Semogue brush but it does feel great on the face. Boars definitely hold the water differently than a badger. My first attempt at a face lather was very soupy. I rinsed the brush out, squeezed a lot of water out and then reloaded on the arko. Then I got a really good face lather and had a great shave!

Sunday, September 11, 2011- Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
- Lather: Real Shaving Co. Sensitive
- Brush: Semogue 1250
- Razor: Gem OCMM
- Blade: Walgreen's Gem (4), 3 passes
- Post: WH, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade
First time using the RSC cream in a week or two. Even though this is a sensitive formula cream, I'm starting to think that it irritates my skin. Maybe it's the tea tree oil, I'm not sure. My neck was really starting to look great and then after todays shave, which didn't feel bad at all, I have the red bumps again. Looks like this cream will head to the back of the drawer for a bit. I'll revisit it later when my neck clears back up to see if I get the same reaction.
