So......... It has become apparent that there are some rather um strange products being used to shsve with. I have recently seen reports of body wash and personal lubricants. Anyone else use something different?
The strangest I go is to use a brush for a brushless cream. I will not use anything I don't brush on, with the exception of witch hazel for my touchup pass.
So how about the rest of the gang?

Lol. But that is a product made to shave with. I wanna hear about products not made to shave with. Some of you guys are just strange with that stuff.
Also around here it is usually me that gets blamed. I have help though usually. No name mentioned.

Well I have used the California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash. It was extremely slick & did an excellent job of softening my coarse stubble. It did not lather much at all & did dissipate quickly so I did have to add water regularly to keep it slick. I will try mixing this with some traditional soaps/creams to try and get the best of both worlds. My first attempt at this was horrible when I tried mixing Arko & the CB wash. I had way too much water & just had a soupy mess. I still got an excellent shave, it was just pretty messy.

I know someone who shaves with hair conditioner. He ran out of shaving cream in college and used conditioner to get him by, he ended up liking it and still uses it.

After the crazy kind of stuff that Fuzzy talks about people using, body wash and personal lubricants, I can't think of a thing that I use that could be considered unusual.  Oh yeah, and glycerin soap. |
