Yes, indeed. Regular single-edge blades fit, and the one I tried worked great. Very cool. That makes things much better I think. ;D Fuzzy

I'm glad to hear that a modern SE blade worked in it. I certainly wouldn't think that a razor as late as 1919 wouldn't accept the more modern disposable SE blade.

Trout, Looks like you are all set to go with the Kampfe Bros LC. By the way, you can strop your modern SE blades after each shave and get a few more shaves from them. Simply stop the edge (both sides) on the side of your hand. Just turn your hand with the palm up and flick the blade against the meaty side of your hand below your little finger. And as for the Compendium here is a link to a site that sells it. It is downloadable. The Compendium was published in 2005. That is the version that I have.
