The Wilkinson's will not take normal S/E blades unfortunately. The earlier models used a larger wedge blade ,while the later models used a smaller and rather brittle stroppable wedge blade, that apparently can't be honed. The Wilkinson pictured above is one that I have never seen before, and what a beauty it is. As for the Henckel's. I have just got to get one of those.

It's here!!!!!!!!:w00t: The strop: The stropping mechanism: The blade: In it's ingenious holder: The razor: The set: With a modern SE: The shave was great. Reminded me a lot of the Ever-Ready Streamline model. BBS with no irritation. I used a Pella and will probably not use the original blades. They are too nice. I forgot to take a photo of the stropping/honing handle, and now I'm too lazy to take out the cam and upload the pics. Maybe later.

When you see a menckels razor next time on the bay, buy it Pure stroke of luck. And get this, first I set it at one price, and than I said, what the hell, I'll increase by 2 more dollars. And that was the price I got it. In the morning, when I woke up, I really thought "why do I even bother looking, I lost".... I didn't A little comparison shot. Excuse me for the DEs

That thing looks incredible. Do all of these Henckels accept modern blades, or are some wedge only?

From the pictures I've seen of them I think they should, but let's wait for Dave.
And I got an idea- I'll send pics to the factory and see if they have some info on it.
