Congrats. I have two, a Duke 3 in best and a Chubby 2 in Super 3 band. Love them both. Enjoy yours.

Have fun with that. I just can not bring myself to pay the money those brushes cost. I get great shaves out of my cheaper stuff. They are very nice looking though.

Congrats! I'd certainly like to have a Simpson's or 2 but I can't justify spending that on a brush.

After I got hooked by this traditional shaving bug I thought about getting a few more brushes. Original one I got was a C&E BBB but was convinced that I needed a silvertip badger.
Looked around and almost bought a Simpson figuring that I would never need more than those two brushes. Yeh, right! ;D
What I did instead was caused by TOS founder D.Irving79 who posted on one of the other forums a pix of an old ER brush he had refurbed with a TGN silvertip knott by our own Rodd.
I liked the idea of the great looking antique handle and started to look for those when I did an antique shop looking for razors. Found one that I liked and had Rodd do his thing. Since then I have had him do two other older brushes, one of which belonged to my father-in-law. The cost to get this done was much cheaper than getting Simpson or any other big name brand brush. The results though were the same, great lather and great shaves.
I have since found a couple ER boars on eBay that were in very good condition and still usable. After a thorough cleaning and sanitizing I use them in my regular brush rotation now.
But to each his own. I commend you for going the Simpson route, you could really not do any better when it comes to luxury brushes. Hope you enjoy it and continue to use it happily for years to come.

I am close to cracking and buying what I think Possum termed very well - a luxury brush. (I too have been bothered by the high prices and that has kept me away.) Mario, what is it about these Simpson brushes that you like? Do you have any others you could compare to? I would like to decide and maybe in the next month or two choose a brand to go with. They sure look good in the cabinet in your picture! I will take one of those for sure! Luxury brush - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!
