Is there any instructions required or is this just intuitive? Should be here in a couple of days. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I read this back when it was posted and thought to myself 'sheesh, just stick it in!'. I have used a number of the oldest Stars and have not had any trouble. Well, pompous *ss that is me!! I recently picked up a 1902 New Star with a wonderful rosewood handle. Always wanted to get my mitts on one. Got ready for a great shave!! Prepped the Den, waited for the wife to be busy, hummed and hawed over which soap to use (settled on a Trumpers Rose puck) and got right into the whole thang! You shavers know what a warm fuzzy feeling you can get. Well, then of course I just picked up that freshly scrubbed 1902, picked up a blade and just 'stuck it in' the razor. First pass over right cheek - feeling a little 'squeeky' for a couple of strokes, then that undeniable feeling of sliced flesh. ^@#%^()(^!!! A lovely 3/4" slice, only 10% of face 1st pass shaved, and a overly large batch of delicious rose soap loaded. Ok - so there is a trick when loading - make double dawg sure the blade is precisely centered in the frame. Look very closely at the blade stops to ensure the edge of the blade is NOT off to one side and sticking out - barely noticeable visually - but surely noticeable fleshily!!!! When the slice heals, back on the horse! Center the blade and off and running!
