I really like my Injector. I believe it is a G-1. I just recently acquired the razor and the only blades I could find local were the CVS brand (are these Personas?). I'm not all that happy with them. They shave good, but just don't seem to be as smooth a shave as I remember. I used an Injector from about 1972 to 1979. I went on-line and saw that Schick still makes blades. I'm a little confused as to if they have a couple of different types or not. The packaging looks the same, but the descriptions seem different. Anyone have any experience with these? How about the Pellas? Has anyone tried them out? I'd like to get a little smoother blade because I really love the razor. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I can get Schick blades locally that are made in China. I think there are Schicks made in Germany as well. From what I seem to remember, the preferred blades are the Chinese versions. The Chinese Schicks are quite smooth and I really like them, but they go for about a buck per blade around here. I have also used the injectors found at Ted Pella. They start a little rough for the first shave or two, but then calm down to last a long time. I can't recall what I paid for them, and I picked up 200 GEM blades on the same order, but I don't think it was unreasonable even after shipping.

I was recently PIF'd a G1 (I believe) injector with Pella blades from a group buy. The injector worked well putting a blade in an empty razor, which I had heard can be problematic. The shave I got was very nice, not as smooth as a really sharp DE blade, but no tugging, and no irritation. I haven't tried a second shave with the blade yet,but I never get a second shave out of any blades, so if I do it will be nice if it works on my neck.

I have been told the Chinese blades are good ones. The pella's are also said to be nice. I will not have to buy any soon since I found the blades at Fred's and the NOS stuff from the 90's.

OK guys, thanks for all the good info. I'll try to hunt down some of the Chinese blades.
