I am on the road still so no pictures. But i picked up a nice never used brush at a junk store today. It is a boar Dubl Duck with the number 5 on it. It has long bristles on it and a barber shop style handle. Paid 13 dollars for it. When i get the pictures up we will see how i did. Fuzzy

Very nice. I love the barber style handles. Are you going to use it as is?

I used it once. Did a good job and really started to bloom nice. It has that new brush funk. The bristles are long just a bit longer then my omega #48. I am not going to change any thing about it........ Well other then the funky smell.

Fuzzy,
Glad you like it. Nice looking brush. Is it harder to lather with the longer knot? I never seemed to like those types cause I would think it would be way too floppy to make good lather and apply to my face.

The bristles are a little longer then my omega #48 but not that much. I was able to get a good lather from the Williams and got a good shave out of it. Fuzzy

I'm not all that up on brush manufacturers. Is Dubl Duck a current maker or is this a vintage brush? Either way it looks great and passed the Williams test.

Well tonight I decided to use some Palmolive SC. This is the old US formula in the metal tube. Yea yea yea the green stuff that stinks according to the Possum. Anywho... instead of getting out my ER 650 with the vintage badger knot I grabbed for the DD#5. It worked just great. Not as much later in the scuddle as with the ER but plenty in the brush to make for a great 3 pass shave.

Oh my, oh my! Hell must be ready to freeze over. Fuzzy used something other than Williams Mug Soap. And it was a cream to boot.
Look out, Fuzzy is going out of his mind! ;D

This is true I LOVE my Williams. I have been trying to use other stuff more though. Just to be a bit different. I always seem to come back to good ole Williams though. WOOO. Fuzzy

Fuzzy, Mighty nice brush! Congrats on that may you enjoy it in good health! Fuzzy, Glad you like it. Nice looking brush. Is it harder to lather with the longer knot? I never seemed to like those types cause I would think it would be way too floppy to make good lather and apply to my face. What I do with longer lofts is grasp the sides of it and load it from puck and go from there. Also this works with shorter Boar and Badger. The latter for finer softer hairs the former it's great because it prevents breakage of bristles. Plus you save a bit of time as well if that means much. I take my time in longer days but this definitely speeds up for me.

I found one of these recently, but mine says 4 on it. It definitely holds a lot of lather!
