I recently bought a Kampfe Lather Catcher. I've been trying to figure out from Wait's Compendium when it's from.
The general description matches the HR-14A/HR-14B from 1902. "Frame: Rear hinge. Guard: pierced STAR, y-teeth Blade adjustment: spring clip" The back looks just like the photo of an HR-14B in Waits.
On the other hand, the case it comes with says "Star Razor # 1". Yes, could just be a mis-match. However, the Star #1, which was from 1919, was called the "Old Reliable Star", and appears to have been just like these older wedge blade razors. Would it have been an exact copy? Is there any way to be sure whether I've got the 1902 version or the 1919?
I'd put a picture, but it won't seem to accept an attachment. Maybe because I'm too new here? Hi everybody! ;D
[EDIT] Okay, I just noticed that there's a "The Rest" forum where this should probably have gone. Sorry. Darn newbies.

You should post pictures of the razor preferably front view. Afaik coding on lather cathers is indistinguishable today.
