Hi all
Came across this place via a link Fido, the New Forest Brush guy, posted on his blog. Glad to see there is an SE board.
I've got a 1912 Ever Ready & Star, a Gem micromatic and 3 recently aquired Valet autostrops. Unfortunately the autostrops are all the ones with notches where the blade sits.
Hopefully I won't be banned for disclosing I'm also a fan of open razors and use vintage Gillettes, Merkurs, a Myall, Injectors, carts and disposables.
The 1912 is my favourite safety razor so far. I've not yet managed to tame my micromatic, smooth shave but I always end up doing more damage than I'm comfortable with. One day.
I would like to get a Rolls Razor and autostrop into my rotation at some point.
Glad to have found this place.
Gary
ps - Is this forum, by chance, anything to do with Dave of youtube and b&b fame?

Welcome to the Show. Several of us use the DE's from time to time. Not sure anyone would admit to carts though. Yes Dave created this board. Good to have you aboard. Fuzzy
