Hi I got an autostrop today and it has the 3 notches, how would one modify a blade to use in the autostrop, I'm a total noob with these and any need help Tony

I do not think you can modify a SE to work in that. unless you were to drill some holes in it maybe.

Curious about this too.
I got three autostrops as part of an ebay lot recently. Unfortunately they all have the notches.
Two of them have a sort of clasp which goes right across the blade and the other just has little movable 'grips' on each side to hold the blade. In the case of the latter I was thinking about modifying the razor - I think if I could remove the notches the blade would still be fairly secure.

As it was a DE blade I just was careful cutting bits of the blade, the shave was very so so, I think it needs the thickness of a SE blade, but hey I shaved with it

The shave will suck I am sure. It is worth it to get one of the heads that does not require the cut outs. Fuzzy

the other heads will take a SE blade without much modification I've read T True and they will shave good with them. It is not hard to pick them up from the Bay or Country Joe's has a few I think. He is a member here. Look in the vendor section. Fuzzy
