Hey, I found the cool kids and the gang is all here! I am Windwalker on several other forums as well. Got my first SE about a year ago, 1912 in brass, with the ornate handle. It really chewed me up the first few times I tried using it. I kept after it and was rewarded after practicing and getting some Pella's. My favorite Gem is my 1908 Lather Catcher. Although I do have several different ones, from the LC, Fat Man (baton handle), as well as some ER's and Stars.

Welcome to TOS. I share your experience with my first SE shave. Did tear up my face a bit and I did it with a '12 GEM on loan from Mr Irving. Like you I have fallen in love with the lather catcher models with my '11 Elite GEM Jr and my '07 GEM as my two favorites.
