I was watching that razor Fuzz! I didn't feel like parting with any dough though so I passed. I am glad you were able to pick it up for such a great price. It looks to be in wonderful shape with an equally wonderful case!
That would be a nice thing to do to pass it along if you so decide. It would start somebody off quite nicely.
I haven't yet tried out a Pal - you need different blades that for the Schick don't you? Can you buy blades for these still?
Good scoop!

I just got back from 5 days on the road. Wish I had taken my Stick Schick Injector. For traveling it is a great razor. Has the convenience and ease of packing as my old multi-blade but gives the shave of a great single blade razor. It is also quite forgiving if my technique takes a back seat to speed. Was in a hurry on Friday morning when I used my SE. Put the blade in it and a new one to boot. Forgot to lock the blade in with the little tab at the top of the razor. Got lots of nicks. Must have used half of a styptic pencil to stem the bloody tide. Just one problem with the injectors. How do they travel on an airplane in one's carry on bag. If I knew they would be treated like a disposable/cartridge razor I would make the injector my standard travel razor.

Just one problem with the injectors. How do they travel on an airplane in one's carry on bag. If I knew they would be treated like a disposable/cartridge razor I would make the injector my standard travel razor. I am kind of curious about the carry-on requirement. This is an excerpt from the TSA's Prohibited Items list , at least the relevant part: Razor-Type Blades - such as box cutters, utility knives, razor blades not in a cartridge, but excluding safety razors.Has anyone an understanding of what this means exactly?? Maybe it would be worth asking the TSA. (Considering that it is ok to take "Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than four inches"). It would seem that a cartridge/container of Schick blades should be ok - they are after all safety razor blades. I think with the definition above the SE spined blades might be pushing it with certain of the less bright screeners, but certainly DE safety razor blades should be ok. Yeah??? TSA site - www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtmNote - I thought what the heck - I sent an email to the TSA Passenger & Traveler Information people explaining my question and also mentioning that I am a member of several shaving sites. I will let you guys know what the response is once I receive it! (If you don't hear from me again.....remember me fondly! )

To the TSA safety razors are the cart razors. the blades have to be in a cartridge. Technically the Injector would be illegal if it had a blade in it. Not sure how many of them would know anything about it though. A razor without the blades is legal. It all centers on the particular TSA agent you get to deal with.

Fuzzy Seems like you got it right Fuzzy - particularly the last part. Here is the main part of the response from the TSA: The Transportation Security Administration's current security screening procedures require all carry-on luggage and accessible property be screened before passengers take them onboard an aircraft. Regardless of whether an item is on the prohibited or permitted items list, the Transportation Security Officers (TSO's) have discretion to prohibit an individual from carrying an item through the screening checkpoint or onboard an aircraft if the item poses a security threat.
Therefore, TSA security screening personnel make the final decision on whether to permit items into the sterile area of the airport.Even if one wanted to argue what is meant by the actual definitions of safety razor - their answer makes it pretty clear that you could have a fight on your hands at any given time. So, I wouldn't dare try to risk it now. After all, I don't want to the subject of the next ABC Monday Night Movie starring Samual L Jackson - Blades On A Plane!Oh well - worth the email!

This one came with a nice gold blade box/key. Has anyone ever tried to reload one of these.. I know it can be done with the old GEM blades int he push pull pack. Would be neat if it can be done here also. Fuzzy
