I found an internet seller listing Dorco Single Edge blades for sale. I'm a bit skeptical about using them for shaving. I asked the seller and he says he's never used an SE. LINK: www.lglivart.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=96Note: this isn't the internet seller I encountered, but it is the same product he is selling.

Huh.... I was just heading over here to post about those. Some of us have run into made in Korea SE blades before and we were guessing they were Dorco made. Within DE the Dorco ST 300 and 301 aren't anywhere near as bad as the generic packaged ASR look alike blades. Well the generic packages ASR look alike SE blades are terrible. Maybe these are OK, but I am not going to rush and try some. Maybe if some end up in the grab box over on the other forum I will give one a try.

The Dorco SE blades that I have tried were trash or worse.. maybe the ones sold there are better.. At least I think they are Dorco's.. they are store brand make in Korea blades. I might be doing Dorco a misjustice.. next time I am at the store I will check the package again. Fuzzy

I did an internet search and my impression is that these dorco blades are sold for industrial purposes. I'm not about to drop $15 to buy 100 (potentially) trashy blades. That said, it's not at all clear that the dorcos I linked are the same as the junk blades from Korea people have been encountering. I haven't had good experiences with the Dorco line- but even so I was really excited to see a new supplier of SE blades.

Fuzzy I went through a phase where I wanted to like their DE blades since they're so cheap. They always straddled the line between good and bad, right out of the pack. In other news, it's good to talk with you again. I see a few other familiar faces over here as well...

So when did you start using SE? I can't say that I recall that being part of your normal usage.

So when did you start using SE? I can't say that I recall that being part of your normal usage. a while back. I bought a micromatic and asked Calvin to tell me about it. He sent me a blade sampler and a few different SE razors to try (Featherweight and a Star SE). I loved the regular SE razors. Not so much with the micromatic. That was over a year ago. Heck, maybe even two. Now I have a damaskene SE. I use it every now and then.
