By golly you are correct sir!! I didn't seem to notice the razor on the safetyrazors.net page - the picture is not that great. I read your post and thought 'nahh, can't be so' and toodled off to the site. Yep! You are correct! thnx!

Honestly, I didn't think it was actually a Schick. I went to the site just to verify it wasn't. And then I saw that type F.... and the patent numbers appeared to match, the case description matched... Maybe if the eBay pics had been from a different angle it wouldn't have fooled us so easily.

More confirmation from the Waits Compendium. Here is what it says:
1940 Schick-New Improved Schick Injector Razor The Magazine Repeating Razor Co., New York, N.Y. and Bridgeport, Connecticut. U.S. Design Patent No. 125592, 4 Mar 1941, filed 31 Oct 1940, Octavius Victor Rodrigues, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Single edge, smooth bar guard, blade magazine (injector) separate from razor, streamlined aluminum alloy handle integrated with head.
Also says it was discontinued after 1941 and it also came in a Travel Kit. The razor and injector attached to the top of the kit and provided space below in the kit itself for brush, soap, etc.

Great info Possum - thnx!
The razor itself is pretty nice actually. That aluminum handle is quite cool. The head looks quite well made and I like it. I wonder why it was only made for one year or so? I guess that would make this item a pretty rare Schick really. I see the adjustables go for piles at some ebay sellers, but this didn't seem to generate much interest.
I think I shall put this little Schick at the top of my SchickList!

I wonder why it was only made for one year or so? Could it be because of WWII?

I wonder why it was only made for one year or so? Could it be because of WWII? That is likely it! The safetyrazors.net guy indicates it is 1940/41, which would place it just prior to entry of the US into the war. Well, there ya go - you have probably solved that one!! That one you found there Etoyoc, it is in nice shape! I don't know why I never picked up on these before. The nice thing about them is that they should clean up quite nice as long as the head is in ok shape. I wonder if they are plated or solid brass? The aluminum should clean up great with some wheel cleaner. I could blind myself in the mirror if I turn up the lights! ;D
