After seeing the picture of your razor, Fuzzy, I realize that you and I are talking about two entirely different razors. The Pal razors that I was referring to, both the adjustable and the non-adjustable versions, and also the Personna variant, were made mostly of brushed stainless steel with a dark gray plastic insert in the underside of the handle. The main part of the handle and the main portion of the head were all one piece of stainless . . . quite modern looking actually considering I bought mine probably about 50 years ago. I suspect it is the same model that Etoyoc was describing in his entry here.
The adjustable version has a dial with five settings on the back of the head, which go from "L" (Light) to "H" (Heavy) with three tic marks in between.
Regards, Tom

You've got it, Rocketman. The razor in your ad is the model I've had since I was a relative kid. I dragged it out this morning, put in a new blade and gave it a try. As I suspected from my experience of long ago, it wasn't a bad shave, but it shaves pretty much like most other injectors that I've used. If you like injectors, however, it is one that should be part of your collection. It was a worthy attempt on the part of ASR to get a piece of Schick's market. It is a handsome razor and it feels good in your hand, but for my face, it will never replace my good ole Gem Jr. Bar Razor. Regards, Tom

Gotta be a distant relative! Lots of talk about injectors lately. I might do a week of nothing but injectors soon.
