I see these Korean SE blades in a lot of stores. They are usually the same stores that sell the Korean Dorco packaged to look like ASR DE blades. I purchased a pack of these just to see....
In this case, the blades were rebranded "Best Choice" by Best Choice Foods...
The blades are OK for one shave. It was possible to get a good enough 3 pass shave on the first day. However, they were far from spectacular for that shave.
On the second day: Pull, pull, and pull some more. The results were bad and completely unacceptable... I had to use a 4th pass with another blade.
So here is the break down... at $1.50 for a 5 pack of blades, you get one not so great shave. That works out to 30 cents per shave on blade cost for something not that great.
On the other hand, I can get a 10 pack of ASR GEM blades at CVS for $3.99. I can get easily get three good quality shaves out of each blade. So we are talking less than 14 cents a shave with the GEM blades.
Save yourself the agony and just walk away from those rebranded SE blades. About the only good use I have found for them is to practice modifying blades for a Valet.
