OK... several nay sayers have compared Williams to Godrej calling the Godrej the Indian version of Williams - but better. So, I have acquired a puck. and It just arrived today. It has an odd blue-green color and an odd scent. Looking at the ingredient list I am not impressed. I went ahead and did a practice lather and I am still not impressed. Huh... The box has an expiration date printed on it. Seriously, it is a puck of soap.. what will happen if I don't use it by August 2011? (Yes, I know soft soaps like P.160 do go bad....).

Not too bad... I wouldn't compare it to Colgate or WIlliams other than the price point. Very different ingredients (made in India so no tallow...). It lathered quickly; however, it was a very fluffy lather. It didn't really become a usable lather until a good amount of face lathering. In the mug, it was just too fluffy and airy. There were actually little droplets of lather fluff floating in the air... It shaved well enough... however, I don't think it was that slick or gave much of a cushion.

Any chance you could list the ingredients for us? fairly typical stuff: Potassium Palmate Potassium Stearate Potassium Cocoate Glycerin Titanium Dioxide Perfume CI-74160 I had to look up the last one - it is color pigment: Blue No. 404 Other than the perfume and the color, this is a low ingredient soap that should be mild for most of us to use. Simple is good. I like the fact that there are fewer chemicals in this soap. I just wish it performed a touch better. Seeing that I got this as it was being compared to Williams, here are the Williams ingredients: Potassium Stearate Sodium Tallowate Sodium cocoate water glycerin fragrance sodium chloride titanium dioxide stearic acid pentasodium pentetate tetrasodium etidronate I don't have an ingredient list for Colgate.
