Any one have any experience with these blades? I just tried three of them this morning. Yep, three. It took me 3 to finally get the razor loaded.
Seems that the injector only will push the blade into the razor half way and then quits. I tried moving the little slider back and forth but the blade would go no further. Wasted two blades as I pulled the injector out of the razor.
Finally, on the third blade, I pulled the injector out of the razor and pushed the blade into the razor by hand. Had to insert the injector to do a very minor fine tune of the blade position. But it worked and the blades seem to give me a BBS shave. Only time will tell how these blades are going to work.
But my questions is anyone else have trouble loading these blades into a vintage injector like my Eversharp-Schick G1?

I know that loading the injector is a part of the fun, but if you have trouble, try to get an early model of injectors or that lady injector that can open. I do that... Could I have more info on the CVS blades? Is the container anything like the pella injectors?

Have no idea about the Pella injectors. Will be getting some when TSD store is restocked. This razor is supposed to open but I have not figured out how to do it. I know the original NOS blade that came with the razor inserted very easily. I will have to do my five shaves with it before I try again. It seems like when the blade goes in half way the little slide on the injector slips over the blade rather than saying behind it. Maybe I need to hold the injector a bit different to keep the slider in line.

I have been curious about the CVS injector blades. BBS? hmmmm I guess they can't be that bad. Let us know how they do down the stretch. Maybe next time I see them on sale, I will try to pick them up.

With the packaging and loading issues, I have a feeling that if I bought some, that they would just be taken out of the CVS loader to be stacked into the good old Schick repeater magazine.

I've had a few problems with different injector cartridges not lining up in my razors. If a slight twist of the key doesn't help, (careful, as Dave said they can break) I found that when you remove the key with the blade partially inserted, a round or square (just not flat) toothpick can be pushed far enough into where the "key slot" is to open the blade area far enough to allow the blade to slide in without resistance. I also use the toothpick method to open up the razor and clean out any gunk that has been built up in those little nooks. Some models do allow the "spring" to slide around to fully open the razor, but, for me at least, they are very difficult to move without bending or in any other way damaging the razor.

I can't remember but are the CVS injectors made by ASR? Or do they just say distrusted by CVS like they do on other goods to hide the true mfgr?

The Injector blades that I have are from Paul at Connaught shaving, and I believe them to be the Personna/CVS type.
I have found that of my three Injectors (I have a J, a L and an M adjustable) the J can be tricky, and the L can be a bit awkward and the M isn't much trouble at all.
I have found that if you twist the key a bit, it can open the Injector up a little more and you can get the blade in.
Once in, I have found no issue with these blades, but bear in mind that I've never tried any others.
Regards
Ian

Hey Ian,
Thanks for the reply and welcome to TOS. I saw Paul's ad for the injector blades. Seems to be like the Ted Pellas. Need to do some research on them before I make any decision about the blades.

CVS in my town has these at 50% off clearance sale. I picked up the last pack... Will give it a go in the morning to see if it is worth tracking down more while they still exist. Figured I would give everyone warning about the clearance sale.
