The following is an article on stretching the life of a razor blade. It is titled Delusions About Shaving and was published in January 1933 in Everyday Science and Mechanics. A great read for those interested in stropping and extending the life of their razor blades.

I was being distracted while reading, but this seams to do with tumblers, cheaper and novelty devices and hand stropping. It doesn't really deal with things like the Valet or the ER stropping handle. I kind of gather that those are preferred looking at the article...

Very interesting article thank you Wayne! It was very interesting to hear his description of a blades edge as usually they describe it as saw like where he described it as mountain-like with high and low pints. Dave has been telling us those glass hones are crap forever now he has scientific data to back him on that ;D I saw those old ball bearing hones on e-bay and antique stores and never could grasp how they worked, turns out they don't no wonder I had such trouble LOL I also loved how he kept referencing P. T. Barnum's famous quote "there is a sucker born every minute" If he could only see the mach fusion I will have to get my old man glasses from the truck to check that out.. but thanks for the post. that looks veddyy intresting,. Fuzzy Fuzzman just save them to your computer and zoom in on them in windows picture and fax viewer
