So there was at the local Rite Aid picking up some cigars for the weekend. I had been looking at getting a small bottle of British Sterling A/S to give it a try, and noticed a gift set with a bottle of cologne and A/S. It was under $10 so I rounded up and dropped it in the basket. My first impression is that it is good stuff.. Somewhere along the line of English Leather perhaps ( I always have trouble comparing scents) but better so far. I will have a better ideal of the A/S when I use it after my next shave.
I will of course post my thoughts then.
What say the SE world?

English Leather and British Sterling were the only AS lotions my old man would ever wear. I currently have a bottle of EL in the rotation (reminds me of him every time I wear it). It's been forever since I've smelled British Sterling but if memory serves, it's kind of a limey, sweeter version of EL. I plan to get me some very soon.
Ha! My Mom, every Christmas would try to gift him some "cooler" after shave (I specifically remember Hai Karate, Aramis, and Jovan Musk). Nothing doin, he'd stash them somewhere and if the subject ever came up he'd say, "I'm saving that for a special occassion." Eventually, he'd "accidentally" leave them where I could help myself and the rest was history.

To steal a phrase I still think the BS is Awesome Sauce.. Not sure how to describe the scent. but I really really like this stuff.
It is kinda funny but the only scent memory.. for lack of a better word.. was of my Uncle Buddy.. he always had doublement gum. I remember that by just closing my eyes,,,
