I'm no honemeister but I think so, its actually pretty close now, as I can tell by the bald spot on my arm.

That is a wonderful find!! Really great product.
It is surprising to me that they were making such an item as late as the 1950's. There must have been a die hard group of early style shaving humans that were resistant to the double edge blades. Maybe they were the early version of us single edge razor geeks!

Nope, not as shave ready as I had hoped, wasn't able to go very far with it. It pulled and tugged no matter what the angle, I even tried it like a straight razor with the same result. Maybe I will send the blade out to a friend of mine that does honing and have him put an edge on it.

Very nice Bill! thank you for sharing it with us it kinds reminds me of a rolls razor but without any of the mechanisms. hopefully your friend can get it honed up for you, keep us posted
