I just wanted to share with you guys my recent obsession with something called Uber lather. It really has improved my shaves (with straights too) and reallty protects the skin. If you haven't head of it before, I would recommend trying it!
Prepare a puck of soap while you show like normal. I usually use Tabac or MWF.
load the brush as normal. put a little of the puck soap water in your lathering bowel. put 4-5 drops of glycerin in the bowel with the soap water. add about a dime size amount of your current shave cream (Anything works really, porasso, TOBS, Trumpers, etc) whip until your hand hurts and........
Seriously, the best lather ever, you can shave 15 passes with this stuff!

I Think the secret to adding Glycerin is to only add about 4 tiny little droplets to the mixture prior to lathering. Otherwise it kills the latherability of the mixture.

As you can see in my SOTD my favorite uber/super lather is Tabac and C.O.Bigelow mmmmmmmmmmm
