Mitchell's Wool Fat soap more commonly known as MWF is a wonderful soap with lather-ability compared to Tabac or Valobra. It has a fresh scent like...well soap
It has a very plain yet classic packaging (brown box) that suits it well the soap itself is not even stamped but you know it's MWF just by looking at it.
What impressed me was how the lather in the bowl held up, usually I sprinkle a few drops of H2O and whip the lather in between passes to restore its body but with MWF I didn't have to it just stayed how it was once I got it going.
MWF moisturizing properties are well known and will leave your skin feeling smooth and refreshed, and is one of the reasons this soap is held in such high regard.
MWF does have some downsides, alot of people claim to have issues getting this puck to lather. Some claim a softer water is needed others claim a special mixing regime, I can't comment since I did what I always do to make lather and it worked fine for me.
MWF is also surprisingly expensive and can be hard to find a supplier. But is worth the trouble as this soap makes some of the finest lather once you get it going.
For newer people switching over from Van Der Hagen (VDH) this can be a life altering experience.
For the more experienced veteran the difference may be subtle but is still worth a try as the scent is very clean and fresh compared to the acquired taste that Tabac or Valobra present.
In short if you haven't given MWF a shot do so whether you shell out the extra cash for the expensive bowl is up to you
