Yep, it was waiting for me when I got home from the salt mine. I put a post in the for sale section, thanks again!

The Contour shaves pretty much the same as the other newer models, which is to be expected since they all have similar heads and the only difference is in the handles. I like the handle of the Contour better than the Featherweight, but not as well as the G-Bar and the Pushbutton which are my two favorites of the newer models.

I found my contour II to be very mild.... even more so then the featherweight.... do you think it is the same or milder at all? Fuzzy

I would have to do a side by side test to really say for sure. The newer ones all feel, and sound, similar to me except for the different handles.

How about a bump since this razor was mentioned. A mild but good shaving razor. I will have to use mine in the next few days.

I have loved the shaves I have gotten from my Contour II, but wouldn't mind a little step up if you know what I mean. I have a Featherweight that is either in transit, or wrapped under the tree, both are equally frustrating. I agree about the extra beard grow making for a better shave. Its almost like a catch 22 if you will. If you take a day off, you don't get to shave... but when you do it is all the more better. The Contour is the only thing I can shave with for two more days, then I will be able to report back on my experiences with a Gbar and there were a couple others that are escaping me at the moment.

Most any other SE will be a step up in aggressiveness to the contour. I think the feather weight gbar and push button shave the same. Just a different feel to the handle. Just my thoughts.

Alright well then I guess the search will continue. Although in my years I don't think the search has ever really stopped. Now I want an OCMM even more.

I should really read and process before I just quickly post with the first thing that pops into my mind. Most any other SE will be a step up in aggressiveness to the contour. I have a Schick Model I and J and the only difference is the handles, if I remember correctly. I prefer the smaller Model I, which works out because it seems like all of the 1912 era razors, that I am hunting like a hungry leopard, are nice and small. The Model J isn't going unloved. It was gifted to my father today along with some Cella and a Semogue 2000. He isn't "into" shaving like I am, so he doesn't really realize how well I have set him up. But he did mention that the shave was "buttery smooth and nice" which is really all I can ask for.
