The end is near. The end of 2010. As we begin the holiday season tell us what you are using to keep the face well shaven.

Going to be slow for me here. Growing the beard out for a few weeks. Then going to make a ocmm work for it's living.

- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Knotty Roddy Refurb with TGN Grade A Silvertip Knot
- Cream: Floris Sandalwood
- Razor: '02 Kampfe Bros Lather Catcher with 2 piece handle
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated GEM SE (shave 6)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & AV Musk AS
- Result: Wonderful BBS shave. Although I really needed the Oil Pass today as the first three passes did not even give me a DFS. May have been technique or maybe the blade is going away quicker than usual. No EDT cause I just love the musk smell of the AV.

I had actually not tried the AV Musk until Alan sent me some here awhile back. I am very glad he did. The stuff is great. I have Barbasol Musk that I like... but it is not even close to being as good as the AV. IMHO

That's what a barbershop smelled like when I was a kid and younger man.

Razor: Rolls Razor Cream: Palmolive Deluxe Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Wring 2x. 1min40. 3 pass. Rework 1st. Very late shave. Nice cream to boot. Reminiscent of that masculine scent emits from Tabac but not as potent.

Gem Micromatic Open Comb Gem SE Stainles Blade Vulfix # 5 Boar Brush Proraso Shave Cream Humphreys Witch Hazel Stetson Original AS Stetson Cologne
Great close shave with the MMOC. I usually reserve this razor for Sunday morning, but I just got a Gem Jr. and want to try that tomorrow. I've got a regular 1912, but have never owned or used a Jr. before. The Stetson is great. I'm glad you folks spread the word that Wally World had it on sale. John (jcmyers) did I read your post right? Is there a new Williams out there? Alan

Razor: Rolls Razor Imperial 2 Cream: Cremo Creme Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Wring 2x. 2min15. 2 pass. Dried within seconds. Rework 1st. Sans moisturiser. This was no different from before perhaps I should add more dollop as I did last time to yield at least 3 pass. However this was remaining sample my buddy had given me.

Gem Jr. Gem Stainless SE Blade Vulfix # 5 Boar Brush Williams Mug Soap WH Aqua Velva Blue
First shave with a Gem Jr. I picked one up so that I could see what the difference is between the Jr and the 1912. Just like everyone said, the Jr is a little milder. Great shave.

Razor: Rolls Razor Cream: Prairie-Creation JDM Cherry Blossom Brush: Vie-Long 16728 Wring 2x. 1min15. 3 pass. Sans moisturiser. This is very nice scent it's not overpowering and just done right. I love it. I could lather for hours on end and not realise it. Much better shave compared to yesterday's.
