It's Sunday, so that means Micromatic Open Comb for me! (sorry Bryce)
Gem Micromatic Open Comb SE CVS SE blade (1) VDH Boar Brush Williams Soap Generic WH British Sterling
Great close shave. Love this razor, I just need to drive it a tad more carefully than the 1912.

Razor: Rolls Razor Imperial 2 Brush: Omega 599 Soap: Kell's Arabian Spice Aloe Wring 2x. Load 30sec. 30 sec lather exploded. 1min. 4 pass. Thick Midnight shave: I love this scent it's probably tied with Casbah Mint-nice cooling effect. Very strange. Normally my face would be moisturised since it's Aloe. I wonder if it's the temperature in the room... Sometimes think to myself how inconsistent some soaps are then again it's like a chef blaming his tools however expensive/inexpensive they may be. I think it's more to do with being able to adapt, improvise and overcome that allow you to be well-rounded with just about anything in general. In this case someone who's die-hard Boar fan actually began to have more appreciation for its Badger counterpart.

Ivan I agree with the don't blame the tools approach. Usually I find that a little tweaking on my technique will make things work better.

Tuesday Night
1910 Gem Junior SE blade.. probably a Pella Gulliver Brush Prairie Creations soft soap WH English Leather AS/Cologne before I leave for work
Great shave. The Gulliver brush is breaking in nicely indeed. I think I will be wearing the English leather stuff more.. and also the Stetson. They are great scents IMHO.

Fuzzy,
For brand new creams I made it a point to have at least a go with them 3x to get a feel. Soaps although I may try different approach sometimes it's no problem for me in general compared to a cream I just got. Once I get hang of cream's behaviour I stick to that. However, do to myriad of brushes I take notes but in general the lather is fine so long as there isn't too much or too little water. That said I start with bit damp brush ( Boar ) and rework brush as needed adding water as necessary.

Birthday Shave!!
Hot Towel 1912 Gem CVS SE Blade Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush Colgate Mug Soap English Leather AS
Normally I take my birthday off, but as I just started a new job I really can't this year. So I got up extra early and had a nice slow and hot shave. I took Fuzzy's lead and broke out the Englsh Leather. I loved it years ago and still love it now.
Sorry folks, the new job is the reason I've not been posting as much as I would like. It's been taking up all my time. I should be all settled in by the weekend though and hopefully will get back to posting soon.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cream & Hot Towel
- Soap: Tabac
- Brush: Ever Ready 200 Boar
- Razor: '48 Eversharp-Schick Injector
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated Injector (shave 2)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & AV Musk AS
- EDT: Tabac EDT
- Result: Of course the Tabac stuff is my favorite scent bar none. The old brush made a great lather from the Tabac and I got a BBS shave with the razor/blade combo as expected. Overall a very nice and comfortable late day shave.

Razor: Rolls Razor Brush: Omega 599 Soap: NanaJune's Bayrum Wring 2x. Load 30sec. 30 sec explosion. 1.5min. Dried within seconds. 4 pass. Thin. Rework lather each pass. No cushioning or moisturiser. Not smooth. Quiet a disappointment today. I can still feel the stubble.
